The Solluu are a race of "fish people" who inhabit the seas of Fianna in
floating cities. Like the Juathuur, their origin is tied to Merlu, who
supposedly created them after he heard a legend from the people of Wa about
beautiful half human, half fish creatures.
Stages of Metamorphosis
Solluu children from birth to early adulthood look much like normal humans,
save for gills under their rib cages, webbed fingers and toes, and eyes that
have an extra protective covering that make them look completely black.
Sometime around their mid-twenties, Solluu women begin a gradual
transformation to their mature, quasi-fish form, first growing squid-like
tentacles and finally shedding their legs altogether.
For Solluu males, this stage is shorter and more intense and occurs later than females, in their early to mid thirties.
